I was married and started a family at a young age of 17. I loved being a mom and spending time with my kids. After my third child, things took a turn for the worst with my marriage. I turned to prescription pain pills. It didn’t take long before my life spun out of control. Completely. I found myself about to lose everything that I cherished and loved. I had been living in denial about the severity of my marriage. But because of my addiction, I didn’t believe I had was capable of taking care of my kids and standing on my own two feet. I felt lost. When I checked into Aspen Wilde, I had never spent a night away from my kids. Thinking that I was going to not only have to get clean but spend that much time away from my kids was one of the scariest things I have ever done.
